Who we are

The data controller is SimpleMarriage.dk. You can contact us about privacy and document handling at privacy@simplemarriage.dk.

What data we collect

• Contact details: name and email you provide via the contact form.
• Situation details: the case information you choose to share with us (nationalities, civil status, previous marriages, residence, target wedding location).
• Documents: only those you send us as part of preparing your application, passports, divorce decrees, civil-status certificates, etc.
• Technical: standard web-server logs. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

The sole purpose is to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage our service, to help you prepare and submit a marriage application to Familieretshuset.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry-only contact: deleted within 90 days if no engagement follows.
• Active cases: retained for the duration of the case plus the period required by Danish bookkeeping law.
• Documents: deleted upon completion of the case, except where you ask us to keep them.

Who we share it with

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising. The only parties we share information with are:

• Familieretshuset and other Danish authorities, where required as part of your application, and only with your explicit instruction.
• Sub-processors that host our website and email systems, under standard data-processing agreements.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, and request portability of your personal data. Contact us at privacy@simplemarriage.dk to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

Cookies

The website uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers at this time.
